“Hell is paved with good intentions.” – from A Collection of English Proverbs” by John Ray 1670

Jan. 6 is the 80th anniversary of FDR’s Four Freedoms Speech, technically the State of the Union address. FDR proposed four fundamental freedoms that people “EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD” ought to enjoy:1.) Freedom of speech and expression. 2.) Freedom of worship. 3.) Freedom from want. 4.) Freedom from fear. In August 1941, during the Atlantic Conference that produced the Atlantic Charter, FDR demanded the dismantling of the British Empire as a condition for the American assistance help PM Winston Churchill was seeking to continue fighting Hitler and the Nazis. FDR demanded that colonies be granted independence regardless of whether or not these future Third World countries were ready for self-rule. Through Eleanor Roosevelt, these ideals evolved into the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations Declaration in 1948. FDR’s goals, while noble, were implemented without the benefit of studies and research on the viability of granting independence to former colonies including one U.S. possession, the Philippines. FDR’s Four Freedoms doctrine, supposed to be implemented by the World Bank, IMF, and the UN, instead created the Third World whose various peoples are mostly trying to get into the USA, U.K. Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other developed countries.

How did spreading the Four Freedoms doctrine around the world through the UN, World Bank and IMF work out?

It created hell on earth in former colonies and one US territory, the Philippines simply because these nations were NOT ready for self-rule! Other than taking one’s own life, as in the case Marianette Amper, the poorest of the poor in the Philippines have three choices:
1) Leave the country. (If you’re lucky)
2) Work as a prostitute or lead a life of crime.
3) Eat garbage*, literally.

Right now in the Philippines people are eating food they dig out of the garbage. And yet we used to say: “Stick a broom anywhere in the ground and it will grow back and yield a-plenty.” (Magtapon ka ng binhi kahit saan tutubo at mamumunga.)   “When Briton Jane Walker first saw children rummaging through trash heaps while on a trip to the Philippines in 1996, she decided to do something about it. Employing about 100 people, Walker helps improve the lives of thousands of children and their families who otherwise would be forced to eke out a living picking through Manila’s garbage dumps. Jennifer Glasse reports.”

How ironic that the tragic Capitol Riot happened on the 80th anniversary of FDR’s Four Freedoms speech. Even at the heart of the nations capital, the Capitol Building, where the countries lawmakers were meeting, THERE WAS NO FREEDOM FROM FEAR. In this day of COVID19 how many have FREEDOM FROM WANT? How many enjoy FREEDOM TO WORSHIP GOD in his/her own way. With political correctness how many could still have FREEDOM OF SPEECH OR EXPRESSION?

Did any history book hold Woodrow Wilson, FDR and their respective Congresses responsible for their failed foreign policy?

Beware. History will judge us all! We will be judged by what we did and what we failed to do.

I made a promise that when I get back to London, I’ll explain why Washington DC, keeps making the same foreign and domestic policy mistakes for the most part of the 20th century and up to this day.

You might ask: “How was the Philippines neglected?” Below is Pres. Truman’s Statement regarding the bill affecting Filipino WWII veterans whose service was deemed “not active service” when the 79th Congress overrode Truman’s veto and enacted the Rescission Act of 1946.

Our parents and grandparent were never consulted if they wanted to give up their U.S. Nationality, secede from the U.S.A. and become independent. Here’s the link to a blog post on U.S. Passport No. 26859 issued on March 15, 1930 to a Filipino with allegiance to the U.S.A.

Filipinos are American nationals. Why can’t my people get the same treatment as other American nationals? This is discrimination, pure and simple.

We shall seek the help of Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the restoration of the American nationality and corresponding passport for qualified and deserving Filipinos.

The Birth of Jesus Christ

An eyewitness account of the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.

Dec. 24, 2020 – Perhaps through Remote Viewing one could “witness” the events surrounding the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is our Christmas offering for 2020.

Too often the focus is on the Messenger and not enough on the Message which is probably why things do not seem to be working in favor of those who pray.

Maybe we have to act on our religion and obey His commandments, especially the second:
“39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 ALL the LAW and the PROPHETS HANG ON these TWO COMMANDMENTS.”

When asked who is my neighbor, Jesus gave the Parable of the Good Samaritan wherein He pointed out that the one who helped you IS your neighbor.

The Philippines, a U.S. territory during WWII fought on the side of the allies. Filipino civilians helped American soldiers and civilians every way they could and suffered for doing so.

Yet after WWII, Japan, a Buddhist nation and the WWII enemy, was given preference not the Philippines, a Christian country.

Atheist China was given preference after the Cold War, not the Philippines.

Atheist North Korea and Shamanist South Korea were given priority after defeating Al Qaeda and ISIS, not the Philippines.

THIS IS WHY I WISH TO FOCUS MORE ON THE MESSAGE OF JESUS CHRIST AND LESS ON THE MESSENGER.

IS THIS WHY TRUMP LOST?
   ================

In one reading, at the time of their marriage, Joseph and Mary were 36 and 16 years old respectively.

The 5th paragraph of Edgar Cayce’s reading 5749-17 tells us the date of Jesus’ birthday as Jan. 6: “The arrival was in the evening — not as counted from the Roman time, nor that declared to Moses by God when the second Passover was to be kept, nor that same time which was in common usage even in that land, but what would now represent January sixth (Jan. 6)“.
In another Edgar Cayce reading, Jesus’ birth was placed on March 18-19. And yet today we celebrate it on Dec. 24-25. Why the seemingly conflicting dates given by the same source as to the actual birth of Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ was born in 4 B.C., when the Julian calendar was in use. On Feb. 24, 1582, Pope Gregory XIII issued a papal bull correcting the Julian calendar effective Oct. 4, 1582. The correction was made to put the calendar in sync with the seasons of the earth. However, it would take over 300 years to adjust the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar currently in use. A total of 56 days were removed from the Julian calendar from the 16th century to the 20th century.

The article, What Is the Real Date of Jesus’ Birth? by Kevin J. Todeschi, Executive Director and CEO of Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research & Enlightenment (A.R.E.), and Atlantic University, explains why all three (3) dates are correct at the time of their respective readings using evolving Gregorian calendar. The article Change From Julian to Gregorian Calendar by Konstantin Bikos and Aparna Kher is a good article detailing the adjustments made to the Gregorian calendar from 1582 to 1927.

Below is the transcript of Edgar Cayce Reading 5749-15 on the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ given on June 22, 1941.

The 119th Anniversary of the Execution of Nicolas Aldana

Dec. 12, 2020 – On this day, over and above the objection of the U.S. military, Nicolas Aldana, Isaac Antonio, Prudencio Santiago and Istanislao Quilatan were executed for the alleged crime of murder. There were no court appointed defense lawyer(s) nor were they given a chance to appeal the death sentence, among others.

In June 1899, Maj. Gen. Henry W. Lawton allowed the people of Las Piñas self-rule on the municipal level.

On Aug. 3, 1899, newspapers across the United States published the story of Capt. Martin who surrendered to American troops stationed in Las Piñas. The article is based on Edwin Wildman’s letter dated June 15, 1899 who was able to interview Capt. Martin.

Apparently Capt. Martin heard how Gen. Henry Lawton and his men earned the trust and respect of the people of Las Piñas. Capt. Martin told Wildman the grievances of the Filipinos and their concerns with the American authorities. He also said that many native troops were ready to surrender.

The story Capt. Martin is in the front page upper left hand “A Captain’s Story”.

The same story “Capt. Martin’s surrender as publish by Elmira Gazette Thu. Aug. 3, 1899

Maj. Gen. Henry W. Lawton (Mar. 17, 1843 – Dec. 19, 1899) aged 56, was the only American General killed in the Philippine War 1899-1902. He was the first U.S. General killed overseas.

Then on Dec. 19, 1899, Maj. Gen. Henry Lawton, the American officer who won the hearts and minds of the people of Las Piñas, was killed by snipers serving under Gen. Licero Geronimo.

Nonetheless in April 1900 the AMERICAN LAW REGISTER published University of Pennsylvania’s Dept. of Law paper “The Legal Effects of the Acquisition of the Philippines Islands.

Here is the last paragraph of the Law Review p.210:  “The Legal Effect of the Acquisition of the Philippine Islands – April 1900”

LET CONGRESS GRANT CITIZENSHIP INDISCRIMINATELY to the white, black, yellow and BROWN races of the Philippine Islands, and questionably they (CONGRESS) WILL THEN HAVE NO POWER TO EXCLUDE THEM FROM COMING TO THE (U.S. ) CONTINENT OR FROM THE ENJOYMENT OF ANY OTHER CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT OR PRIVILEGE, but until such legislation by Congress, the Constitution of the United States EXTENDS NO GREATER PRIVILEGES TO THE PEOPLES OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS THAN TO THE SAVAGE TRIBES OF ALASKA.

We have to remember that the USA is a secular country where civilian authority is above the military.

After the execution of Nicolas Aldana and three others, despite Emilio Aguinaldo’s pledge of allegiance to the USA on April 1, 1901, the Philippine War escalated in a brutal guerrilla war that saw Filipinos placed in concentration camps.

Below is summary of the hearings by a military court that found my great grandfather Nicolas Aldana and three others guilty of murder.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BUDDING AMERICAN DEMOCRACY & FILIPINO AUTONOMY IN LAS PIÑAS?

Note that the first alleged victim is unknown. The accused were never given a court-appointed lawyer to defend them. There is no record of witnesses testifying against the accused. The murder allegedly happened in Jan. 1901 but the accused were not charged until July 1901. There seems to be no record of any of the accused being given a chance to say something in their defense. Upon sentencing on Nov. 7, 1901, the four prisoners were executed on Dec. 12, 1901. The condemned men were not given a chance to appeal to a higher court. They were tried in a kangaroo court.

On July 7, 1902. Aguinaldo was released. During his meeting with Gen. Chaffee, Aguinaldo requested bodyguards for his trip to Cavite. This raised speculations that Aguinaldo fears possible vengeance by friends of Antonio Luna whom he ordered assassinated on June 5, 1899.

Antonio Luna – Wikipedia

However Antonio Luna’s family was originally from Ilocos Norte and relocated to Binondo, Manila where he was born. Aguinaldo was going to Cavite, south of Manila. Why would he need bodyguards?

Below is the map of Manila – Cavite area during the Battle of Binakayan on Nov. 09-11, 1896. For Aguinaldo to travel to Cavite from Manila, he has to pass through Las Piñas unless he will travel by boat.

In the article below, Aguinaldo claims that he is not afraid of the vengeance from the friends of Antonio Luna. Who was he afraid of that he wouldn’t venture out during daylight as he confessed to Gen. Chaffee? Was he afraid of the relatives and friends of the four martyrs of Las Piñas, my great grandfather Nicolas Aldana, Isaac Antonio, Prudencio Santiago and Istanislao Quilatan?
