Noah’s Ark – April 10, 2001

From the reviews I’ve read about Darren Aronofsky’s movie Noah (2014) starring Russell Crowe it appears the message has been misunderstood.

Considered by critics as “the least Biblical” among movies based on the Bible, the Noah Russell Crowe played, was bent on ending the human race. So when his daughter-in-law gave birth to his first grandchild, Noah decided he would kill the child and that would be the end of the human race. This is the best way to save the planet and the non-human living things.

But then the mother of the child intervened saying God gave Noah free will and it is up to Noah to decide whether or not man should repopulate the earth. Noah stop and thought: “God did not explicitly instructed me to end the human race.”

Fast forward to the present:

“If you love Me, you will KEEP My commandments.” – John 14:15.

Jesus Christ gave us just two commandments. The first is love God above all. This means we should take care of what God gave us.

The second like the first is Love your neighbor as yourself. Meaning don’t abuse your neighbor and don’t let your neighbor abuse you! If you love yourself you will not let others take advantage of you. It is that simple.

Was Noah wrong in his decision to let man repopulate the earth? Or we are just indifferent?

Below are terrible examples of thanking God for what He gave us.
